So the general idea for the team is that they never really felt like a family to me. One thing i always felt the JLA did better than the Avengers was that the JLA members felt like part of a team first off, then solo heroes on the side. I wanted my avengers to be a family first off. A simple solution - stark designed suits for all. this helps weave them all together. they dont all have tech suits, just something jazzed up that helps each characters purpose.

Ms. Marvel: not much done to her. just a little revamped costume. she acts as leader.

Ironman: took the modern biotech suit and revamped it. i love super sleek outfits so i had a blast streamlining it. one key visual concept i had for him was that when standing in light, you cant see any eyes on his helmet. they only appear when he is in shadow. the helmet is a clean piece of metal in light.

Thor: just a jazzed up suit. got rid of helmet.

Bucky: key element was getting rid of the mask. to help show that ms marvel is the leader, i couldnt have a far more iconic mask competing visually. and it brings back some elements to the winter soldier. this helps make him more appropriate to take up the more stealth assassin type character as i always preferred. getting rid of the shield was another push to help in that direction.

Crystal: one of the most powerful females in the universe that i really havent felt that the potential has been tapped into. cut all her hair off for a visual difference from the other girls

Ironfist: a guilty pleasure character. love the new gold and white suit.

Venus: she operates as an excellent strategic asset. obviously, all the guys have audio blockers set to keep them safe from her

Ares: being one of my fav, its hard for me to have the avengers without him on it. he takes the most advantage of the stark tech. he doesnt carry real weapons anymore, he uses stark designed weapons that can collapse on itself. sort of mass effect style. this allows him to carry multiple weapons into a fight.

I always felt the opposite. That the Avengers felt more like a family, brothers in arms sort of thing, while the JLA felt more to me like coworkers. I could see Hawkeye and Thor hanging out more than I could see Flash and Batman. But I guess thats just my opinion. Cool art. Cool idea.

This is the version of Bucky's costume I want to see, great design on him and this whole thing. They should bring back Ares, he could hassle Thor like Herc does from time to time. maybe the three could become roommates. heh, seriously though great work.
